In the free and open source software world, there is a group started in \u00c2\u00a0the 80s that believes thatl software should be free. To take that to a somewhat logical conclusion: hardware should be paid for while the software for it should be free.<\/p>\n
Fast forward a couple of decades and look at your average new\/modern music consumer. They will readily pay hundreds of dollars for iPods, put up with terrible software to load their music onto it – yet for the most part not pay for said music. It’s the same story: hardware is paid for while what the hardware enables – in this case music – is “free”.<\/p>\n
So either the world is just now catching up to what the f\/oss people figured out back then…. Or they simply had the maturity of 15 year olds who can get away with stealing and resent when they can’t.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
